Springtime in the Smokies

Ah, spring break: a chance for families to gather together, unwind, and escape the daily grind. Want to make this year's spring break really special? Look no further than East Tennessee's Smoky Mountains! Home to some of the most beautiful scenery this country has to offer - from soaring mountaintops and lush greenery to bubbling streams and plenty of sunshine - it’s hard not to get in vacation mode while visiting these awe-inspiring natural surroundings. Plus, with so many lodging options ranging from picturesque cabins tucked away among the trees to luxurious resorts with all the modern amenities your family could need, there’s something here for every budget and group size. So, grab your swimsuits and pack your sunscreen; it’s time for an unforgettable adventure that you won't soon forget!

Springtime in the Smokies is one of my favorites of year to visit.  It is perfect hiking weather!  One of my favorite hikes is a quick 2.6 miles to beautiful Laurel Falls.  This is an easy hike for all ages, especially since it is a paved trail.  This hike is well known by flower lovers for all the rhododendrons you’ll see in May – June.

If hiking isn’t your thing, don’t worry there are a million other things to do!  From Go-Carts and Mountain Coasters, to Zorbing down a huge hill or visiting Dollywood – the Smokies in the spring has something for everyone!
